Have you experienced a trauma so devastating that you weren’t sure you’d ever recover?
Perhaps someone close to you betrayed you when you were only a child?
Or a spouse did the unthinkable? Or you are trying to recover from an affair?
Maybe a close friend left you alone in your time of need?
You might be in a dysfunctional relationship and, as a result, you are struggling with shame, rejection, loneliness, low self-esteem, insecurity, trauma, disconnection, stress, anxiety, and a lack of trust.
You’ve been looking for answers in magazines and you ask for feedback in Relationship Facebook groups, but you aren’t really getting the help you need…..are you?
Hey…I get it….
You probably want to make sure I know what I’m doing and what inspires me to work with clients with relational trauma. (You can find my credentials at the end of this page).
And so you know I understand what you are going through, here is my story…..
Truthfully, I’ve lived through events I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
My life experience includes:
- Severe child abuse/neglect
- Witnessing daily domestic violence and drug use
- Sexual Trauma
- Spousal Abuse
- Post-Traumatic Stress
All of the events above happened from the time I was four years old. Then, when I became an adult and found myself divorced, I knew something had to change.
Shame was an unwelcomed companion and I sank into a deep pit of depression I couldn’t climb out of without help.
So, what did I do about it?
I worked my butt off in counseling by surrendering to the process of change and the recommendations of the counselor. It was extremely uncomfortable and painful, but so worth it.
After several months of counseling, I prayed to God and took a good hard look at my life. I asked myself and God: how can all this pain I’ve been through be used for the good of others?
The answer was to get my master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. It was a serious moment of clarity.
Since then , I’ve dedicated my life to helping women create better lives for themselves by walking with them through disastrous circumstances and getting them to the other side.
I’ve been obsessed with studying and researching the problem of dysfunctional relationships and trauma for over 10 years.
I’ve coached and counseled nearly a thousand women and couples since 2008 to help them take the reins and fight for the life they want and deserve!
And I can’t sit back and allow you to suffer in silence anymore, so I’m compelled and called to throw you the life vest in the form of therapy.
Is Therapy Right for you?
So, you may be asking if individual counseling, family counseling, or marriage counseling is right for you. You
